Tasveer, founded in 2002, is a nonprofit organization based in Seattle and the host of Tasveer Festival. Tasveer’s mission is to provide a platform for South Asian voices in the arts and media. We promote diversity, social justice, and equity by showcasing the stories, experiences, and perspectives of filmmakers, educators, activists, and others from Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, Tibet, Sri Lanka, and their diasporas worldwide.
